Hidden Orchard Coraggio (Thor )
Born May 8, 2011, bay colt, expected to turn gray, with star
By the Holsteiner stallion, Chablis 1 Z (right) (Corrado 1) X
Aviary (Arkansas)

Congratulations to June of Southern California for her purchase of Thor. Thor is showing successfully in the jumper ring.

Professionally started under saddle in 2013. Training with the Millars in 2014.

Born on Mother’s Day - May 8th, 2011, Thor is a handsome colt by Chablis 1 Z X Aviary.  Thor is bold, with powerful, athletic movement. He loves people and attention. Thor is long-legged, with lovely movement, a long stride, easy natural changes and a ground covering trot. Thor is going to be a big boy, as he measured 14.2h at 9 months of age.

Thor is very well handled and attended his first show, the Summerfest Breeder’s show on July 31, 2011. He finished fourth in his class and was extremely well-behaved.  Thor loaded and trailered very well and was extremely easy to deal with at the show. Several people commented on how quiet and laid back he was.  In preparation for the show, Thor was bathed, cross-tied and braided and handled everything exceedingly well.  Professionally started under saddle in 2013.

Bred to be a top hunter/jumper prospect, Thor’s lineage represents the best of the best in show jumping. His sire, the gray Holsteiner stallion Chablis I Z was licensed in 2004 by the Holsteiner Verband in Neumunster where he excelled because of his remarkable jumping qualities. Chablis 1 Z has shown to 1.40m in the jumpers in Ontario and California.

Thor’s grandsire Corrado I was shown internationally by the great Frankie Sloothaak. Under Frankie Sloothaak, Corrado I won the biggest show in the world, Aachen, setting the stage for his superstar jumping career. Corrado I has the proven cross of Cor de la Bryere and Capitol in his pedigree. Cor de la Bryere is respected as one of only a few elite stallions ever to produce such rideable horses for all the Olympic disciplines and the Capitol line adds level-headedness.

The Holsteiner stallion Chablis I Z was licensed in 2004 by the Holsteiner Verband in Neumunster where he excelled because of his remarkable jumping qualities. His sire, Corrado I, is one of the best showjumping horse sires in Holsteiner breeding history and has had great influence on show-jumping horse breeding worldwide especially through his sons Indorado, Clinton and Coriano. In international showjumping, Corrado I is sire of the International Showjumping horses Cattani (Geir Gulliksen) and think Twice II (Leopold van Asten). On the dam’s side, Chablis I Z carries the first class jumping blood of the stallions Calando I, I Landgraf Calypso and Calypso I combined with the valuable Holsteiner Lineage 95.  For more information please see http://www.warmblood.com/chablis.htm.

Aviary, Thor’s dam, has produced offspring competing successfully in the jumper ring in the US and Canada. Belle Nuit, her filly by Beau Soleil, has been jumping in 1.35m classes and in September 2010, Belle Nuit won the $10,000 Marshall Sterling Children’s and Adult Jumper Classic at the ESP show in Wellington, Florida. This is her second year competing at Spruce Meadows in the full tournament schedule and she represented Mexico on the Prix de Nations junior team in 2010. Thor is is half-brother to Belle Nuit, now a grand-prix jumper. Aviary’s filly, "Wieta", shown as German Engineered, has been showing in the 1.15m and 1.20m junior amateurs in Quebec “A” circuit shows and also qualified for the CET Medal class at the Royal Winter Fair in 2010.  Video Thor and Zessa, May 19, 2012

Romantic Rebel "Rebel" (Romantic Star (Ramiros Son II) X Aviary (Arkansas))-  Born July 9, 2012, bay colt

Congratulations to Kelly of Oregon on her purchase of Rebel!

Born July 9th at approximately 7:50 pm, this handsome colt by Romantic Star X Aviary is a star in the making. At just 48 hours old, he took his first jump over a small 6 inch high roundbale core and, then, just to not prove it was a mistake, he turned around and cantered over it again, going at it from the opposite direction. He then stopped and looked at 3 of us who were watching at the fence to make sure we all saw it. I was happy to have 2 witnesses to Rebel’s first jump!  And best of all, he has Romantic Star’s beautiful tight knees when jumping.

Rebel is a very handsome foal, with gorgeous face, long legs and very balanced movement. He also has a very attention-getting personality. From the time he was only a couple of days old, he would canter over to the fence when called, just to get petted. He loves being brushed and he is very smart.  He has had a halter on from day 1 and has been led every day, gets his feet picked up regularly and at 2 weeks of age, he had his first experience with a farrier.  This colt will be a superstar in the ring, with his talent, his gorgeous looks and his look-at-me disposition. We are absolutely thrilled with Rebel and have planned his first line show for August 26th.

Rebel is half-brother to grand-prix jumper, Belle Nuit, also out of Aviary.

Thor is a top hunter prospect.
